Press release: Minkels BV.

minkels logoSoftware company Sofon played an essential role in the award that Minkels bv. recently received from market research experts Frost & Sullivan. The Dutch manufacturer of sustainable and innovative datacentre and server room solutions was crowned with the ‘European Frost & Sullivan Award 2015’ for new product innovations. According to Vincent Liebe, marketing manager at Minkels, this is partly thanks to Sofon's ‘intelligent software’.
Thanks to Minkels' innovative and flexible character, the firm's products are very distinctive, according to Liebe. ‘Our clients are always assured of the latest datacentre technologies and modular solutions that meet client-specific and evolving business requirements. Using Sofon's standardized software, we are ready to satisfy virtually any request from our clients with our inventory of semi-manufactured products.’ As we like to say, somewhat tongue-in-cheek: ‘If we can't build it, it really is impossible.’
Minkels is a European manufacturer and global supplier of the most advanced datacentre enclosures, cooling, monitoring and power distribution. With solid growth and a long tradition of development and production, Minkels is a master at creating strong bonds with its clients. From commercial datacentres and SMEs to corporate entities and government organisations. Liebe: ‘In the logistical production process from semi-manufacture to end product, the application of Sofon software is absolutely essential.’

Minkels won the Innovation Award for its ’Free Standing Cold Corridor®’. This solution, launched in 2014, is described by Frost & Sullivan as ‘groundbreaking aisle containment for the European market’. The system is designed to create discrete corridors for the energy-efficient separation of hot and cold airflows independently of the (dimensions of the) server racks. ‘Thanks to the high level of detail of the free-standing aisle containment construction and modularity, it is possible to achieve maximum energy efficiency from day one with the greatest flexibility and without investing in racks’, explains Liebe.

About Sofon:

Sofon is deployed in diverse applications. These almost always relate to the client-specific sales process. Specifically in terms of improving those processes, and primarily focusing on quotations, contracts and orders as well as related contractual conditions. Because Sofon is generic, it may be used without modification for realizing widely varying solutions, including everything from generating quotations to contract management. This means Sofon supports not only the sales process but also the related content.
The company is located at the Science Park Eindhoven in Son (The Netherlands).
